Holland Festival

Jordaan festival
This Old Amsterdam festival was moved from the elandsgracht to the westermarkt 4 years ago, because it attracted to much people for the location the elandsgracht. the new location was official outside of the Jordaan, so a view years later is was moved again to elandsgracht / marnixstraat. ( 5 minutes walking for the Leidseplein) The annually festival of typical amsterdam singers takes places in the 3th week of semptember. For the local Amsterdam people it's an popular event.
Amsterdam Roots festival
International cultural musical acts all over the city. Cultures from all over the world, like brasil, Hongary, Portugal, Mali, Colombia, Mexico and lots of more countries are presented at the big amsterdam event. Uitmarkt
Musical, theater, film, cultural, cabaret and dance acts are presented at the Uitmarkt in the oostenlijke haven area. You can find Jazz, hiphop, soul, pop and classical Musical styles. Besides the musical acts the festival shows a wide range of differentiality from art exhibitions to free style skate workshops. Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival
The Fantastic Film Festival is something of a cult annual institution in Amsterdam, screening European and international thriller, cult, horror and science-fiction movies at the Filmmuseum Cinerama and the Melkweg. The festival began life in 1984 as a weekend-long event, but now lasts for 12 days, with discussions, retrospectives and a marathon Night of Terror for nocturnal horror fans. Several awards are handed out, including lifetime achievement prizes, Silver Melies awards and the Silver Scream Awards for the audience favourites
Amsterdam underground

Sail Amsterdam
Ones in the 5 years this big event attracs people from all over the world, "Amsterdam sail"This maritime event takes place on the IJ behind Central station. In 2005 sial took place the last time, from 19 untill 23 august 2010 the next sail will be a fact. In 2005 sail presented over 600 ships from all over the world and the arganisation expects even more in 2010. You can take a look on board of ship like: submarines, old sail ships, the biggest sail ship in the world and lots of other ships. Also you can see the most grazy thing turned into ships lie a train.
